Bulimia nervosa
eating disorder; characterized by episodes of overeating, usually of high-calorie foods, followed by vomiting, laxative use, fasting, or excessive exercise
Somatoform disorders
A class of psychological disorders involving physical ailments with no authentic organic basis that are due to psychological factors.
Conversion disorder
somatoform disorder; experiences very specific genuine physical symptoms for which no physiological basis can be found.
Hypochondriasis
somatoform disorder; excessive concern about health and disease, thinks every little pain means a serious illness
Dissociative disorders
pathologies involving fragmentation of the personality
Dissociative amnesia
dissociative disorder; psych induced loss of memory for personal info
Dissociative fugue
dissociative disorder; like diss. amnesia but added “flight” from home
Depersonalization disorder
dissociative disorder; sensation that mind and body have separated
Dissociative identity disorder
